The past still haunts Humberto, but he has been released from prison and been sober for three years. In search of a new life, he travels back to the Bolivian village of Cochabamba where his beloved daughter Aleida lives. In order to bond with her, he must first be able to support himself and get his daughter's grandfather, Carlos, an Argentine evangelical priest, on his side. He sings at funeral wakes and gets involved in the church, but the zealous priest has other thoughts about the daughter's future. The visitor, the outcast, is a stranger in his own world. Film at a high level that thunders straight into the soul.
