Sudan, Remember Us
Buy ticketsA moving hymn for a betrayed nation and the activists, artists and ordinary people keeping the dream of peace, freedom, and democracy in Sudan alive.
During her first visit to Khartoum in 2019, documentary filmmaker Hind Meddeb - of North African origin and with an inherited dream of an Arab feminist revolution - is deeply moved by the passion fuelling the struggle for a democratic Sudan. Initially, the protests in the capital are marked by a festive atmosphere and creativity, but everything changes when the military strikes with brutal force. Over time, hopes for Sudan’s third revolution fade but never fully extinguish. The bonds of friendship formed during the revolution’s early days, along with the thirst for freedom, endure - even though victory remains far from sight.
