A group of trans women travel from Barcelona to León to celebrate a birthday, in this very frank and honest documentary about transgenderism.

Magdalena decides to celebrate her birthday by inviting a group of friends to her hometown of León Leon. As this small, but varied, group of old and young women winds its way across Spain, the long journey affords each of them sufficient time to articulate their personal histories, their individual dreams and anxieties, thus revealing very differing, even contradictory, views on life, society and politics. This is a finely-tuned, multi-layered exploration – both physical and emotional, of gender dysphoria.
