Family facade cracks during camper vacation on the island of Bornholm i spot-on drama-comedy with traits of both Norén and Östlund, but with an acute female perspective.

Midlife crises, marital problems, and the difficult challenges of parenthood are brutally exposed once the two families’ idyllic camping trip is rattled by an incident between the children. An impulsive argument escalates into a deep and wrenching conflict, and it’s more than just the family vacation that falls apart along the way. Anna Kazejak’s clever and refined film is an entertaining and deadly showdown with human, and especially male, shortcomings. The sympathies clearly lie with Maja, superbly played by Agnieszka Grochowska, who in a burdensome situation both as mother and wife tries and sometimes fails to hold it together.
