I Love, You Love

”Björkman has proven that collective film-making is possible”, was the contemporary verdict on this co-conceived tale of pregnancy brimming with life and creativity.

Björkman’s feature film debut was intended as a comedy starring Evabritt Strandberg and Sven Wollter, but the plans changed when the acting couple learned that they were expecting. Instead, Björkman, Strandberg, Wollter and Jonas Cornell came up with a story taking its cue from this very experience, and more or less improvised during the shoot. The film – about a young Stockholm couple whose far from rosy relationship is further complicated by pregnancy – is characterised by an exuberance and playfulness rare in Swedish film.
