A-Men to That

Three slightly past-their-prime male models form a band in a last-ditch attempt to reclaim their lost glory in a self-ironic and joyfully chaotic mockumentary.

Rafael Edholm, Marcus Schenkenberg and Knut Berggren play former models in the throes of a midlife crisis who, inspired by successful boy bands, come up with the mildly desperate idea of starting a “man band.” On a breakneck journey involving dubious modelling gigs, singing and dance lessons, and a spectacular flop in a shopping mall, they are forced to confront both their own shortcomings and society’s views on masculinity and ageing. With humour and self-awareness, the trio—under Edholm’s direction—push boundaries at their own expense in a story about friendship, identity and music.
