From the producers behind Little Miss Sunshine comes this charming, feel-good drama about Zak (the brilliant newcomer Gottsagen) who, lubed-up with peanut butter, manages to escape from the home where he’s locked up. He meets the small-time hustler and fisher Tyler (LaBeouf in top form) who reluctantly agrees to help Zak reach his goal – The Salt Water Redneck’s wrestling school in the wilderness of North Carolina. “The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn” meets Beasts of the Southern Wild in an unlikely but atypically successful, heartfelt adventure film about friendship and daring to follow one’s dreams. Dakota Johnson, Thomas Haden Church and John Hawkes are also highly convincing in supporting roles.
