The Self Portrait
Buy ticketsLene Marie Fossen is 32-years-old and a unique photographer with an extraordinary talent. But she also suffers from severe anorexia and has done so for ten years.
Since she was ten years old she has shied away from healthcare professionals who want to force nutrition in her. She does not want to grow up. Life has terrified her. To stop eating was her way of not becoming an adult. But she gets into photography and enters into her own world of pictures. The desire to create gives her the desire to live and come out into the world and meet people. Her great dream is to have a solo exhibition where she will show the pain she has inside herself through her pictures. The Norwegian documentary master Margreth Olin, together with co-directors, chisels out an honest and raw portrait of an artist and a deadly disorder.
