Directors Talk: Isabella Eklöf

Directors Talk: Isabella Eklöf

The festival's most talked about directors and actors discuss film, career, and art. The talks are moderated by the programme committee.

Isabella Eklöf made her directorial debut with the controversial film Holiday, which competed for the festival's Dragon Award for Best Nordic Film in 2018. The same year, she was also known for the Guldbagge-nominated screenplay for Ali Abbasi's acclaimed film Border. Eklöf is a graduate of the Danish Film School and has primarily worked in Denmark since 2007, directing a handful of short films. She has also published short stories and poetry in Swedish. Now, she returns to the festival with her second feature film, the powerful drama Kalak, which is in competition.

The discussion takes place in connection with the screening of Kalak. A ticket for the film is required.
