Festival favorite Christophe Honoré gets personal in warm coming-of-age story about a seventeen-year-old’s search for closeness in all the wrong places.

Lucas suddenly loses his father in a tragic car accident. After the funeral, the family is torn apart by grief and questions about the father’s intentions hang in the air. To help Lucas clear his mind, the big brother takes him to Paris. He is completely captivated by both the city’s pulse and his brother’s roommate, the erotic artist Lilio. Honoré (Sorry Angel, GFF 2019; On a Magical Night, GFF 2020) has created a personal coming-of-age drama with a fine resonance, where Juliette Binoche shines in the role as Lucas’ mother and Honoré herself steps into the role as his father. Paul Kircher was awarded the acting prize in San Sebastian for his close and fragile interpretation of a teenager’s grief and sexual debauchery.
