Wild Foxes
Buy ticketsA young boxing prodigy is injured and thrown off balance in a macho world that leaves no room for fear or vulnerability, in a finely acted French debut.
Camille is the star boxer at his sports high school. When he’s not training, he shoots TikTok videos with his best friend Matteo or steals meat to feed foxes in the forest. During a fox-spotting outing, he is involved in an accident – surviving thanks to Matteo but injuring his arm. He recovers quickly, yet is plagued by phantom pain and panic attacks, and his life soon begins to unravel as his peers at the fiercely competitive boarding school turn against him. Samuel Kircher (son of Irène Jacob) is compelling in the lead role, and the film was awarded two prizes at Cannes.
