Successful TV host Maria (Mirja Turestedt) finds herself in a media storm when serious accusations are made against her well known and dominant husband. To escape the turmoil, they decide to flee to Morocco, but en route, a confrontation occurs that drastically changes the situation. Some time later, Maria arrives alone in a small village on the English moor. A new life beckons, but the past is never far away in Caroline Ingvarsson's (We Were Three, GFF 2018) British feature film debut based on Nesser’s “The Living and the Dead in Winsford”.
