Unconventional feminist meets stubborn fencing master in a fiery 'cloak and dagger' drama filled with duels over honor, love, all set in decadent 19th-century Paris.

When his nephew gets into trouble, the reserved and righteous fencing master Clément Lacaze is forced to train him for a fateful duel. In parallel, the wild Marie-Rose Astié de Valsayre fights for women's rights; for freedom, the right to wear trousers, and the right to duel (even though it is forbidden in France in 1887 and even though she faces mockery in the press from her worst antagonist.) It is inevitable that their paths will cross – and sparks fly when they do! Both during the fencing training and at the bohemian and liberated afterparty. Vincent Perez himself plays a sly colonel and, as a director, creates strong chemistry between the charismatic Roschdy Zem and the ultra-cool Doria Tillier.
