Elin is on a fishing trip with her two children when the unimaginable happens – her youngest son falls into the river and dies. Left in grief with her daughter, Storm, she eventually tries to return to everyday life as the nightmarish situation worsens further. Among the children at school, a rumour begins to abound that it is Storm who intentionally caused the death of her little brother. In director Erika Calmeyer’s intense and emotionally tumultuous debut film, a parent’s instinctive impulse to protect their child is pitted against the elusive feeling of not seeing or understanding the big picture.
