A single mother becomes obsessed with the idea of tracking down her sperm donor in this psychologically charged drama about desire, control, and motherhood on one’s own terms.

Journalist Edith (Lisa Loven Kongsli, Turist) has become a mother through an anonymous donor. As her son’s personality traits begin to emerge, her curiosity about the man behind the donation is awakened. Under a false identity, Edith seeks out the former tech magnate she suspects is the donor (Herbert Nordrum, Världens värsta människa). What begins as an attempt to understand her son soon takes unexpected turns. With suggestive tension and refreshing humor, Janicke Askevold delivers a story that is both personal and universal about the conditions of alternative parenthood.
