Superheroes from the Tobacco Forces head off on a retreat in madly creative Quentin Dupieux’s totally twisted, blood-splattered, star-packed splatter cavalcade.

A cast of France’s finest actors (including Gilles Lellouche, Vincent Lacoste, Anaïs Demoustier, Adèle Exarchopoulos, Benoît Poelvoorde) find royal pleasure in a completely unserious and loose-knit ensemble comedy about a gang of vigilantes in tight suits. Now they need to boost morale and their giant rat of a boss sends them on a retreat in the wilderness, where horror stories by the campfire spiral into a slough of uncontrollably funny sidetracks far from all context. Dupieux follows up the nutty enough Deerskin, Mandibles and Incredible But True with an even wilder, splattery superhero farce liberatingly free from all kinds of deeper meaning.
