Macho police with relationship troubles heads off on a trip through Brazil to find his online flirt – and is forced to reevaluate both his conservative values and himself.

Daniel has been suspended from work due to an assault investigation. His father’s dementia only worsens, and his sister has just informed him that she is homosexual. When the only positive thing in his sapped life – Sara with whom he has an intense online relationship – suddenly goes quiet, he leaves everything to find her. He gets help in the form of a man who claims he is able to unite them, under special circumstances. Private Desert is a well-acted (Pedro Fasanaro is unparalleled as Sara/Robson), graceful story about an unexpected meeting that begins with shock, rage, and aggression, but lands in an emotional awakening and the revolutionary insight that love can be boundless. To the tones of “Total Eclipse of the Heart.”
