Tender and incredibly sensitive portrait of material grandparents and grandchildren, and a calm life in simple conditions in the shadow of the mountains in western Ukraine.

With a fine-caliber eye for both the beautiful mountainous landscape and the small details and nuances in daily life, Eva Dzhyshyashvili (one of the Ukrainian filmmakers who this summer received a residency at Göteborg on the initiative of Göteborg Film Festival) lets us feel the spouses Dmytro and Hannusia and their two grandchildren. He has lost a leg in the war in the east, which now means that she has to pull an even heavier load at the farm. At the same time, the young children wonder if the war is of God’s making. For despite the front being faraway, it is clear that this war spares no one. Multiply awarded, including for Best Ukrainian Documentary at Kiev Festival Docudays, which was arranged last year in Polish exile.
