With chilling precision, director Goran Stanković dissects religion’s power over body and mind in a debut based on true events.

When Dejan arrives at a church-run treatment center in the Serbian countryside, he is greeted by an apparently calm community led by the charismatic Father Branko. A brutal reality soon emerges: rules are enforced through violence, and disobedience is harshly punished. As Dejan adapts to life at the center and gains trust, he is drawn ever deeper into a system where survival demands loyalty. The film avoids easy explanations and allows moral gray areas to dominate. The result is a tight and unsettling study of authority and submission.
