On June 26, 1959, Sweden came to a standstill. The nation gathered around their radios as challenger Ingemar “Ingo” Johansson faced American heavyweight champion Floyd Patterson. The Fight of the Century – Ingo vs. Floyd captures not only the historic battle for the world title, but also Ingemar’s everyday life - from midsummer celebrations and dancing around the maypole at the family home to rare footage from 1950s New York. Now restored for the big screen, this landmark documentary returns with a new premiere at Göteborg Film Festival - a vital piece of Swedish film and sporting history. Presented in collaboration with the Swedish Film Institute.
