An act of love becomes a political manifesto in this feature debut about two women fighting to have their love accepted by the world.

During a dinner Julian and Fleur tell their friends that they’re getting married. And not only that, they plan to marry in all 22 countries where same-sex marriage is legal. A journey filled with joy that will also reveal deep sorrow. They don’t get far before Julian suddenly falls ill. Based on Fleur Piret’s memoirs, debut director Cato Kusters takes the audience through a series of flashbacks and home videos, so intimate that we can almost feel Julian and Fleur’s touch.
