We top this year’s focus with a suggestive show that interprets homecoming through film, poetry, music, speech and – conversation.

During one evening at Hagabion, we let a flow of artistic expressions relieve one another on stage in order to interpret the concept of homecoming. Accompanied by Anastasia Grivogiannis with the band Givana are the poet Sarah Garib, and the Tranemo municipal poet Jimmy Alm, the British director Christine Molloy and Ukrainian director Antonio Lukich.

Nadi Tofighian, lecturer at the Section for Cinema Studies at Stockholm University joins senior lecturer Anja Franck at University of Gothenburg, and Antje Jackelén (former archbishop of the Swedish Church) in an in-depth dialogue about homecoming based on cinematic, societal, and theological perspectives. During the evening, Laerke Herthoni’s short film Surprise.
will also be shown as well as scenes from SVT’s coming documentary series Smuggled. (Swedish and English)

Once the screen is over, the evening will continue at Hagabion’s Bar Kino with Homecoming DJs in the booth.
