Gloaming in Luomu

(Three years have passed since Bai received a postcard from her boyfriend Wang. The text read: “Gloaming in Luomu.” Then he disappeared. Now Bai is here. But where is Wang?)

Luomu is a small town; it takes no more than half an hour to walk through it. This is where the young woman Bai arrives to search for her missing boyfriend, with the old postcard as her only clue. She checks into a small guesthouse intending to stay just a few days, but the visit stretches out. By walking in his footsteps and talking about him with her hostess, she begins to feel as if she’s making contact with Wang.

Lu Zhang delivers a reflective and intense indie gem full of warmth and humor, enchanting the viewer with its wonderful sense of place and atmosphere.
