François and Julie have been together for 16 years and are raising two children. When their intimate spark fades, they decide to open up their relationship and embark on a series of sexual escapades in hopes of better understanding themselves – an experiment that quickly grows more complicated as these two lost lovers struggle to figure out what they truly want. Follies is a refreshingly sharp and joyful look at sex and relationships in the 2020s, starring debut director Eric K. Boulianne himself alongside the wonderful Catherine Chabot in the lead roles.
