Scarlett Johansson makes her directorial debut with a dramedy that provokes both tears and laughter, about a boundless 94-year-old lady who ends up entangled in a web of lies.

After her friend’s death, Eleanor leaves sunny Florida to live with her daughter in New York. But family life turns out differently than expected, and she feels lost and invisible. One day, she accidentally ends up in a support group for Holocaust survivors, and suddenly the talkative lady has told a story that not only gains her the group’s attention but also that of a journalism student and her father, a news anchor. Johansson approaches a heavy subject with a light touch, and June Squibb is irresistible in this tale of grief, friendship, and the art of confronting the truth.
