Dry Leaf
Buy ticketsThe search for a missing daughter sends a father and his companion on a road trip across Georgia, with the countryside’s abandoned football fields as their destination.
Lisa has been photographing football fields, but is now missing. Her father, Irakli, and his invisible companion Levani set out on the road to find her. At once playful and radical, filmed on an old Sony Ericsson phone, Dry Leaf is a small-scale revelation that opens up perspectives beyond the high-definition noise of the present. A meditative mystery about the unexpected paths life leads us down, the film sees the director of audience favourite What Do We See When We Look at the Sky? (GFF 2022) push the boundaries of what cinema can be — and reveal the art form’s many possibilities.
