Crocodile Tears
Buy tickets"Crocodile tears" takes on a whole new meaning in this low-intensity thriller about a disturbingly odd mother-son relationship at a crocodile park in Indonesia.
Johan lives alone with his overprotective mother at the rundown crocodile facility. His days are filled with work involving the crocodiles, from feeding and cleaning to performing shows for a few visitors. Evenings are spent at home with his mother, who is far from a typical mom and is particularly obsessed with a large white crocodile that is "close" to them. When Johan falls in love with the precocious Arumi, all hell breaks loose. Crocodile tears may signify care for offspring, but they also come with the act of devouring prey. (Crocodile Tears) is a chillingly entertaining and atmospheric debut that irreverently and uniquely blends genres to tell the story of a dangerously toxic mother-son relationship.
