Hats, makeup, and pop anthems in a visually rich music documentary about how Culture Club challenged the norms of the 1980s.

A goth who accidentally ended up in a pop band. That’s how Boy George describes himself as Culture Club reunites for new interviews and looks back on their rise to fame. After leaving Bow Wow Wow, criticised for drawing too much attention to himself, Boy George formed Culture Club, a band that quickly became something entirely its own. With his androgynous expression, the band emerged as a force that challenged norms of sexuality and gender. Yet beneath the warmth of nostalgia lie reflections on relationship struggles, addiction, and the fractures that followed in the wake of success.
