Wim Wenders celebrates Anselm Kiefer's life and artistic journey in a magnificent 3D documentary and an extraordinary cinematic experience.

The camera slowly glides around a white sculpture in a clearing, intimately and tangibly. In a vast hangar, a man navigates between gigantic paintings on a bicycle. That man is the world-renowned artist Anselm Kiefer, the subject of the latest addition to master director Wim Wenders' tribute series. This series already includes Cuban musicians in Buena Vista Social Club, a world-famous choreographer in Pina, and most recently, a pope in Pope Francis – A Man of His Word. As he now turns his attention to Kiefer, Wenders' gaze sees both humanity and mythology in a man who has both provoked and enchanted with sculptures and paintings that seem to transcend the world they exist in.
