Ph.D. student Benjamin takes a substitute job at a school on the outskirts of Paris. On the first day he realizes that the job won't be a walk in the park, but the seasoned colleagues come to the rescue. Benjamin becomes a part of the close-knit team of colleagues, and over two eventful terms we follow the tireless work in the classrooms, but also the relationships that simmer inside the teachers' lounge.
