Social realism blends with feel-good vibes when the elite of French acting come together in a warm tribute to society's unsung heroes: the teachers.

Ph.D. student Benjamin takes a substitute job at a school on the outskirts of Paris. On the first day he realizes that the job won't be a walk in the park, but the seasoned colleagues come to the rescue. Benjamin becomes a part of the close-knit team of colleagues, and over two eventful terms we follow the tireless work in the classrooms, but also the relationships that simmer inside the teachers' lounge. With a light touch, Thomas Lilti depicts the challenges of the job, and the impressive cast (including François Cluzet (The Intouchables) and Adèle Exarchopoulos (Blue Is the Warmest Color) turns A Real Job into a first-class homage to the teaching profession.
