The rays of the midnight sun send the life of a young Stockholmer careening as she starts life anew in the inland of far northern Sweden after a sudden break-up.

A young woman from Stockholm relocates to her boyfriend’s home town, a small village in the far north of Sweden. The relationship has ended by the time she arrives. Despite the break-up, she stays and get’s a job in the local grocery store. There she encounters the northern mentality in the form of Eva Melander’s hospitable Midsomer Murders fanatic and Ann Petrén’s grudging, covert racist. Inland is a story about loss and change. Director Jon Blåhed examines the tangible mechanics of a young soul without direction, whose inner journey manifests through both dramatic outer landscapes and small scale magnificence. Based on the 2018 novel "Inlands" by Elin Willows.
