Jordi's Letters

With a perspective that is as tender as sure-of-form and with the patience of an angel, Maider Fernández Iriarte narrates about Jordi Desquens and his desire for a miracle.

Jordi is 51 years old and has cerebral palsy. Like many artists, Maider works extra as a personal assistant at the residence he just moved to. With inexhaustible patience for one another’s limitations, they communicate with the help of letter charts. Maider is not afraid of asking questions like what it feels like when people point and treat him like a child, how it feels to have moved from his parents’ place to the residence, or even Jordi’s desire to go to Lourdes, his meetings with God, and what makes him elected to meet him in particular. Incredibly well-made, tender and aware about an unusual friendship.
