Beautiful observations of the calm influence of habit and the difficulty of breaking routines in the Danish countryside.

Kris lives at a farm with her sick uncle. Their co-existence is so tightly woven together that they don’t need to speak. Their wordless communication runs along smoothly. When a new veterinarian shows up and takes note of Kris’s touch with animals, her sense of security begins to falter and things she hasn’t dealt with come to the surface. Like the dream of becoming a veterinarian, which she abandoned when her uncle had his first stroke. And things are not simplified by one of her peers in the village taking an interest in her.
