Force of Habit

With conviction and honesty, but also with humor that is spot-on and liberating, we are shown how patriarchal power structures permeate the lives of a few women during one day.

Milja is sitting on the bus with her headphones on when two guys initiate contact and want her to come to a party. Emppu has taken a leap in her career as an actress, but feels uncomfortable in her role as a character that is to be raped and killed on stage. Nina has waited for years to have her rape case brought to court, and when it finally happens she is given a young and inexperienced lawyer. The female director-collective behind Force of Habit portrays six different stories, which together uncover, and encourage us to fight, the oppressive structures in our time.
