We Are Here Now
Buy ticketsStrikingly perfect pitch and spot-on humor when a group of new parents meet during the constant chaos and endless fatigue of the years with small children.
The parents have been brought together through the pediatric healthcare center and meet with their babies at each other’s homes. Their conversations range from things big and small, and the world outside seems at the same time both distant and tangibly close. Some of the parents have big plans for buying houses, others have relationship problems, and one couple has a baby that is played by an adult. With an outstanding sense for tension and precarious situations, director Mariken Halle has the small children act as witnesses to the adult behavior in a film that abrades, moves, and never ceases to surprise you.
