Dogs Don’t Wear Pants

An introverted widower meets a mysterious dominatrix who helps him through his mourning in a black comedy full of sadomasochism and broken hearts.

Four years after having lost his wife in a drowning accident, the cardiologist Juha (Pekka Strang) is still paralyzed with sorrow. When he accompanies his teenage daughter to a piercing studio on her birthday, he meets the charismatic dominatrix Mona (Krista Kosonen). From that moment his life changes completely. The festival favorite J-P Valkeapää’s (Visitor, GFF 2009; They Have Escaped, GFF 2015) third film is a surrealistic, bizarre and dark comedy about overcoming the grief of a life-changing loss through BDSM.
