AI - Sam Ghazi, Olle Häggström och Dorna Behdadi

The technological development in AI is both terrifying and alluring. Can AI out-maneuvre mankind or is it just a smart tool? The pathologist and author Sam Ghazi, current with the novel Teonauterna, meets Olle Häggström, professor of mathematical statistics at Chalmers University of Technology, with a focus on existential risk and AI security, as well as Dorna Behdadi, doctorate student in practical philosophy at the University of Gothenburg, who researches on whether artificial intelligence can be morally responsible for its actions. The evening’s film is the documentarian “political thriller“ iHuman.

Host: Jonas Holmberg, Göteborg Film Festival. In collaboration with Jonsered Manor, the University of Gothenburg and Folkuniversitetet.

The conversation will be held in Swedish.

Filmisk salong (Film salon): The festival’s programming committee invites you to a new concept: four evenings with film and immersive dialogues about art, life and society at one of the city’s most charming cinemas, Aftonstjärnan.

Each evening has its own theme and contains film screenings; intermission with refreshments, snacks and mingling; and an on-stage dialogue where high-profile guests discuss the evening’s subject. It will be thought-provoking, festive and inspiring, and offer new insights and perspectives. Everything will be live-streamed to a number of theaters out in Region Västragötaland, in collaboration with the Culture Academy (Kulturakademin). Tickets to Filmisk salong are bought using the relevant film’s screening number.
