With finely-tuned sensitivity and epic melodramatic weight, they narrate the story of Aniela's life. About how she begins to feel different during her upbringing as Andrzej, in a society that responds to this with complete denial. And how, for many years, she will live as a man before daring to tell anyone that she was born in the wrong body. And about all the difficult choices she must make to become who she truly is. It is a compelling and incredibly well-acted character study of Aniela, but also of the LGBTQ-hostile Polish society.
