The island hosts a type of exclusive couple’s therapy – the father’s life’s work – where a number of chosen couples undergo a complicated rite and change bodies with each other. Alex Schaad debuts with an intricate and entertaining mindfuck drama that plays with concepts such as identity and sex, outside and inside, body and soul, and generates questions about relationships and what it actually means to know and love another person. The film won the Queer Lion at Venice.
