A scarred girl's relationship with a suicidal girlfriend ignites in British raw realism.
23-year-old Franky (Vicky Knight) still bears physical and mental scars from the fire that occurred 15 years ago. Today, she works as a nurse at the hospital where her life was saved. One of the patients is Florence (Esme Creed-Miles), recovering from a suicide attempt. The two women fall in love, and for at least a while, the relationship is healing. However, Florence's unpredictable behaviour and Franky's anger over the unresolved issues from the fire soon create explosive emotions. Dutch director Sacha Polak's (Hemel, GFF 2013) powerful drama is based on British actress Vicky Knight's own life. She is brilliant.
