An unforgettable, award-winning cinematic gem about a defeated woman’s transformative journey from trauma to self-realization, in stop-motion format
Despite a childhood marked by disability, poverty, and loss, Grace Pudel has always been able to lean on her beloved twin brother Gilbert. When their family falls apart and the siblings are separated, both are forced to navigate a cold and unforgiving world on their own. With the help of a warm-hearted firecracker named Pinky and a series of astonishing survival strategies – some more unhealthy than others – Grace faces challenges with equal parts vulnerability and strength, while Gilbert’s life becomes more difficult. Adam Elliot’s poignant, humorous, insightful, and visually dazzling animated film is loosely based on his own life story.
