In late summer Oslo, a warm, humorous, and touching drama unfolds about the boundaries and possibilities of love.

Colleagues Marianne, a pragmatic doctor, and Tor, an empathetic nurse, have both chosen to avoid traditional relationships. When they unexpectedly meet on a ferry—where Tor often seeks spontaneous encounters and intimate conversations with other men—Marianne begins to question her own notions of intimacy and love. Through Dag Johan Haugerud's (I Belong, GFF 2013; Beware of Children, GFF 2020) masterful ability to craft complex, endearing characters and his unique blend of seriousness and humor, the film explores the many forms of love. Against the vibrant backdrop of Oslo, Love develops into a poignant and uplifting story about daring to redefine the role of love in our lives.
