Concerts become acts of resistance and music a source of safety in a story of survival, solidarity, and hope in the shadow of war.

When the musicians of the Ukrainian ensemble Kyiv Soloists traveled to Italy for a brief tour on February 23, 2022, they had no idea that their lives were about to be upended. The next day, Russia invaded their homeland. Amid the uncertainty that followed, the orchestra decided to embark on a European tour to raise awareness of the ongoing atrocities. Director Trond Kvig Andreassen captures the musicians from the early stages, on the tour bus as they scroll through the latest war updates, in dressing rooms, and during their stunning concerts. Even though the ensemble finds a temporary home in Bodø, Norway, the time is drawing near when they must each forge their own path, as the war rages on.
