Kal P Dal
Buy ticketsThe film about the station master's son, "Kalle mellan bommarna" who became Skåne's very own Mick Jagger and James Dean in a lively combination.
In an era dominated by progressive rock, it wasn't a given that straight 1950s-inspired Chuck Berry rock would take off, but despite his rough and inimitable Skåne dialect, the artist Carl Sven-Göran Ljunggren, or Kal P. Dal, became a phenomenon that drew crowds to folk parks all over Sweden in the latter half of the 1970s. Through archival footage, interviews, and animations, a warm, nostalgic, and insightful portrait is painted of the charismatic and energetic artist, who in his all-too-short life left behind cult-classic songs like "SJ", "Jonnie", "Om ja' va' en slashas / Jag vill leva fri" and "Tuffa Uffe".
