The World Judo Championships becomes not just a battle for gold but also a fight for freedom against the Iranian regime in this compelling sports thriller, directed by and starring Zar Amir Ebrahimi (Holy Spider).

Halfway through the championships in Tbilisi, Iranian judo star Leila Hosseini (Arienne Mandi) receives an ultimatum from her home country's government. She must fake an injury and withdraw from the tournament, or else she will be labeled a traitor to the state with severe consequences. With her own and her family's freedom at stake, she faces the impossible choice between standing up for her ideals and fighting for gold or succumbing to the Iranian regime. Her loyal coach, Maryam (Amir Ebrahimi), is also put under tremendous pressure, further isolating Leila as the tournament progresses. Zar Amir Ebrahimi and co-director Guy Nattiv's Tatami is an incredibly gripping and impactful film about oppression and the struggle for freedom.
