Dog lives alone in a dim apartment in Manhattan, watches TV, and survives on microwave meals when a commercial prompts him to buy a robot-building kit. Robot immediately turns out to be the perfect companion, and the two become inseparable, but their inherent differences will soon cause trouble for them and force them onto separate paths. Spanish director Pablo Berger (Abracadabra, GFF 2018), following Sara Varon's original work, has created a stylish, tragicomic, and at the same time extremely charming and playful film about the various stages of friendship that appeals to both older and younger audiences.
