When Hiba was young, she wanted to become a doctor or an actress. Instead, she was engulfed by 'Qubaysiato' and lived by the rules and duties of the group. At the forefront was the leader 'Anisa,' who demanded complete devotion from her disciples. But then something happened... Here, Hiba's daughter Jude persistently unravels her mother's – but also her own – past and closely follows her with the camera. The result is a visually creative, credible, and intimate portrait of a woman's faith and dedication – what it has cost and given. But also of her family and how, through this magical and brilliantly scored film's creation, they rediscover each other. Award-winning at its premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival.
