Smart, intimate, and poignant interpretation in its freest form as debutant Paul B. Preciado takes on Virginia Woolf's classic Orlando.

'Who is our contemporary Orlando?' wonders author and philosopher Paul B. Preciado as he reads about young Orlando in Virginia Woolf's transformative and innovative classic from 1928, only to later explain that her character has become real today. Inspired by the thoughts provoked by the novel, he embarks on the work of his film debut, allowing 26 non-binary and transgender individuals to interpret and make Orlando their own. In touching, varied, and eye-opening encounters, we understand the significance Orlando has had for generations, as well as continues to have in the struggle to be oneself. Just like the importance of narratives and a free culture at large. Preciado's clever and quick-witted Orlando, My Political Biography received multiple accolades last year, including at its premiere at the Berlin Film Festival.
