Myths about witches and malevolent wolf children incite the residents of an isolated village against each other in an atmospheric, fairy tale-like dystopia about exclusion and the fear of the unknown.

Skalde lives with her mother in a community cut off from a world that may no longer even exist. While the mother sticks to her dogs and nature, Skalde has struggled to be accepted, even though they are outsiders. One day, a mysterious girl suddenly appears in the forest. The majority are convinced that she is a 'wolf child' who has killed the sheep that were found dead. But Skalde challenges the collective, reacts instinctively, and takes care of her. The question is: Will the girl shed her milk teeth and prove that she is a 'real' child, or will she be Skalde's downfall? Fantastic visuals, intriguing characters, top-notch acting, and a vision of matriarchy make Sophia Bösch's debut something truly special.
