People renounce their faith and leave their Christian community in the new documentary by internationally award-winning director Ellen Fiske.

Twice a year, a retreat is organized in San Francisco where people seek to undergo a profound change in their lives. Many carry traumatic experiences from growing up in or belonging to fundamentalist Christian congregations for a long time. At the retreat, they meet to share their experiences and support each other, but leaving something that has shaped their worldview and been an integral part of their identity becomes an enormous challenge for many. Ellen Fiske (Scheme Birds, Josefin & Florin) navigates with great sensitivity and attentiveness between the sessions and conversations, which are aptly captured by Pia Lehto's outstanding photography.
